Engaging teachers and the community in the career development process is important, but how do you do this effectively? This session will address this dilemma through the description of a graduate course that engages teachers and educators in the work of community engagement for the purpose of career awareness. Understanding and developing community networks is at the heart of all course assignments. The course is divided into 5 modules: Practicitioner Module, Problem Scenario Module, Connect to Ohio Career Resources Module, Building Community Networks Module, and Career Pathways Module. The Business Advisory Council for Washington County plays a role in this work and will be touched upon in this session.
